SAVI Advanced is a powerful data visualization and analysis tool that gives you a new understanding of the communities and populations you serve. Its “brushing and linking” capability allows you to integrate, analyze, and visualize multiple datasets simultaneously to easily identify patterns and trends to guide your research or decision-making. For example,
- Researchers can identify spatial patterns and relationships, detect outliers, and formulate more useful hypotheses before conducting in-depth statistical analysis.
- Nonprofits can quickly identify geographic areas of unmet need, assess their service area, and prioritize community initiatives.
SAVI Advanced also allows you to create Data Stories and share them online. Storytelling with data helps you engage with stakeholders to justify the need for a grant, demonstrate program impact, and share research findings.
SAVI Advanced is built on the Weave platform, which was developed at The Institute for Visualization and Perception Research (IVPR) at UMass Lowell in partnership with the Open Indicators Consortium. Special thanks goes to our partners at Farnam Associates and IVPR who helped our team customize and implement the tool for Central Indiana.
SAVI Advanced was made possible thanks to funding from the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation to support public health uses of SAVI.
