Want to learn more about SAVI and how you can use it to improve your organization’s or community’s planning, funding, and strategic decisions? SAVI has revamped its training program with several new classes and improvements to existing classes. Responding to feedback gathered from surveys, interviews, and training evaluations, SAVI training is moving beyond the basic how-to approach to one that provides tangible examples and demonstrations of how SAVI can be used to address common information needs.
We have developed new topic-oriented and tool-oriented workshops that are tailored to the information needs of human service and community-based organizations and allow users to employ SAVI for strategic planning, program planning, community assessments, and grant applications. We also will offer Continuing Education Credits as part of our training program. SAVI Course Listing:

We now offer SAVI training certifications for two different levels. Our SAVI-Trained Professional Certification requires completion of five SAVI classes, totaling 9.5 hours of class time, and focuses on the hands-on use of SAVI for retrieving data and producing maps, charts, and custom communities. Go beyond the basics with our SAVI-Trained Practitioner Certification, which focuses on the many applications of SAVI data such as strategic planning and grant application support. Refer to the list at right for the specifics on SAVI certification.
Students who successfully complete their certification will be recognized at the annual SAVI User Conference and listed on the SAVI website. |
