MCHD is responsible for the oversight and care of matters relating to public health in Marion County. MCHD addresses issues and provides resources and services regarding public health matters such as environmental health, water quality, food safety, occupational health, chronic diseases, maternal and child health, sexually transmitted disease control, tobacco control, and vital records.
