Indianapolis Racial Equity Report Card
SAVI Talks - June 20, 2024On June 20, in partnership with WFYI Public Media, The Polis Center presented SAVI Talks: The Indianapolis Racial Equity Report Card webinar. The effort identifies racial disparities and inequities in several key areas affecting quality of life and our economy.
This baseline report shines a light on areas for improvement and will allow us to track how we are doing as a community moving forward. These important data can be used to shape programming, inform policy and planning, justify grants, and educate stakeholders working together to address the underlying drivers of these inequities and disparities.
We appreciate our great moderator and panelists who participated in an engaging discussion: Whitney Smith, Discussion Moderator and Community Engagement Manager, WFYI Public Media; Ebony Chappel, Market Director, Free Press Indiana; Nicole Martinez-LeGrand, Multicultural Curator, Indiana Historical Society; and Ben Tapper, Chief Diversity and Equity Officer, City of Indianapolis.
Thank you to our webinar host, Gail Strong, and WFYI Public Media for its partnership!
